While the possibility of a Bollywood-K-pop collaboration excited many, it now appears that fans will have to wait longer for such a crossover to happen.

In recent weeks, social media was buzzing with excitement over a potential collaboration between Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and internationally popular K-pop idol Jackson Wang. Speculation arose following an earlier comment by Wang, where he appeared to hint at being part of Krrish 4, the much-anticipated next installment in the popular superhero franchise. However, Wang has now clarified that his statement was not meant to be taken seriously and that there are no current plans for his involvement in the film.

The confusion began during an event where Jackson Wang, while interacting with fans and the media, made a light-hearted remark suggesting he was working on Krrish 4. Given the global popularity of both Wang and Hrithik Roshan, the idea of a crossover generated significant buzz. Fan theories began to spread rapidly across platforms, with some even suggesting that the film might include an international character or musical collaboration.

However, in a recent statement shared through his social media handles and later confirmed in interviews, Wang clarified that his earlier comment was made in jest. “It was just a joke,” he said. “I deeply admire Hrithik Roshan and love Indian culture, but I am not part of Krrish 4 or any Bollywood project at the moment.” He further expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from Indian fans and said he would be open to working in India in the future if the right opportunity arose.

Krrish 4, directed by Rakesh Roshan, is currently in development and is expected to continue the story of India’s original superhero, played by Hrithik Roshan. While few official details have been released, the film is reportedly being designed as a high-budget, effects-heavy venture that could introduce new characters and concepts to the franchise.

Jackson Wang’s statement has now cleared the air for both his fans and followers of the Krrish series. While the possibility of a Bollywood-K-pop collaboration excited many, it now appears that fans will have to wait longer for such a crossover to happen.

Meanwhile, Wang continues to focus on his music career, performing globally and building his brand, while Hrithik Roshan is currently involved in multiple projects, including Fighter, and is expected to begin work on Krrish 4 later this year.

The incident highlights how global fandoms can amplify even casual remarks into trending headlines. It also underscores the growing curiosity and cultural exchange between Indian cinema and global entertainment industries, especially Korean pop culture.

Though the dream of seeing Jackson Wang in a Bollywood superhero film has been put to rest for now, the interest it sparked may open doors for real collaborations in the future.
