Hunkkaar director Karan Kapadia has responded to speculation about a possible collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Aneet Padda. The filmmaker recently spoke about the possibility of bringing the two actors together for a future film and said that he would be open to the idea if the right story and script are available.
Kapadia discussed the possibility during an exclusive conversation with Zoom. When asked whether audiences could eventually see Ranveer Singh and Aneet Padda together in one of his films, the director indicated that he would certainly consider the combination.
Kapadia praised both actors and said that they are extremely talented. However, he made it clear that the decision would not be based only on the appeal of pairing two popular performers. According to him, the subject and screenplay would have to suit both actors before he approaches them.
The director said that if he finds a project where Ranveer and Aneet are appropriate for the respective characters, he would be interested in approaching them. He also indicated that their own response to the script would be important before the collaboration moves forward.
The possibility has attracted attention because Ranveer Singh and Aneet Padda were recently seen interacting at a Mumbai event connected with Hunkkaar. Aneet Padda has also become one of the more closely watched young performers in Hindi entertainment. Her popularity increased significantly following her performance in Saiyaara, after which audiences and industry observers began paying greater attention to her subsequent projects.

The JioHotstar series, directed by Karan Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, features Padda as Meenu Rawat, a 17-year-old who accuses a powerful spiritual leader of sexual assault. The series explores the investigation and legal process surrounding the case while also focusing on the people involved in the search for justice.
Kapadia has previously spoken about his association with Padda and the reasons behind casting her in Hunkkaar. He has said that he had already worked with her before her wider breakthrough and had recognised her acting ability.
