Kareena Kapoor Says She Is Relieved About Koffee With Karan Ending as Saif Ali Khan Calls Himself Miscast
Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are set to appear together on the ninth season of Koffee With Karan, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. The makers released the promotional video for the upcoming episode on November 2, offering viewers a glimpse of the couple's playful conversation and humorous exchanges with the host.
The promo has attracted attention because of Kareena's reaction to the show's conclusion and Saif's amusing comment about his place on the popular celebrity chat programme. The episode will be the fourth instalment of Season 9 and is scheduled to stream on Wednesday, November 4, at 7 PM on The Peacock Hub through JioHotstar.
Kareena Kapoor Jokes About the Show Ending
In the promotional video, Karan Johar welcomes Kareena and Saif to the famous Koffee With Karan couch. During their conversation, he notices that Kareena appears particularly happy about the announcement that this will be the show's final season.
When Karan asks about her reaction, Kareena jokingly explains that she is relieved because she will no longer have to keep appearing on the programme. Her response prompts a humorous reaction from the host, who sarcastically thanks her for showing sensitivity towards the show's final season.
The exchange reflects the familiar friendly relationship between Kareena and Karan. The actress has appeared on the programme several times over the years and is known for her confident responses and candid remarks. Her latest appearance continues that tradition, with the promo showing her exchanging jokes with the host.
Saif Ali Khan Says He Is Slightly Miscast
Saif Ali Khan also adds humour to the conversation. During the exchange between Kareena and Karan, he interrupts and says that he feels he is slightly miscast on the show.
His comment adds another entertaining moment to the promotional video. Saif is known for his dry humour, and the remark gives viewers a preview of the light-hearted atmosphere expected during the episode.
The promo also features a conversation about the leading female actor in Bollywood. When Karan asks who the number one female star is among the current generation, Kareena confidently points to herself, referring to the person sitting opposite the host.
Saif responds playfully by suggesting that Kareena is allowed to praise other actors as well. The exchange leads to another round of humorous remarks between the couple.
The teaser also features a quick buzzer game in which the guests are asked to name actors whose names begin with the letter K. Saif gives the unexpected answer Kavita, leaving Kareena curious about the name and prompting laughter during the interaction.
These moments have helped create interest in the upcoming episode, particularly among viewers who enjoy the couple's public appearances and their humorous exchanges.
Kareena and Saif Return Together After 16 Years
One of the major highlights of the episode is the couple's return to the Koffee With Karan couch together after 16 years.
Kareena and Saif previously appeared together on the show during its third season in 2010. At that time, they were dating. They later got married in 2012 and have since become one of Bollywood's prominent celebrity couples.
Their latest appearance offers an opportunity to see how their relationship and professional journeys have evolved since their earlier joint interview. Although both actors have appeared on the programme individually over the years, their appearances together have been relatively rare.
The new episode is therefore expected to attract attention from viewers interested in their personal equation, film careers and interactions with Karan Johar.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 Is the Final Season
Karan Johar announced that the ninth season of Koffee With Karan would be the show's final season. In an emotional announcement shared on September 30, he reflected on his long association with the programme and its journey since its launch in 2004.
The celebrity chat show has become a familiar part of Indian entertainment culture over the years. It is known for bringing actors, filmmakers and other prominent personalities together for candid conversations, rapid-fire questions and entertaining games.
Karan also recalled how his father, producer Yash Johar, had initially questioned whether audiences would be interested in watching him talk to his friends. Despite those early doubts, the programme developed a strong identity and became one of the recognisable celebrity interview formats in Indian entertainment.
Over the years, the show has featured several major Bollywood personalities and generated conversations through its celebrity revelations, humorous exchanges and controversial moments. The ninth season is intended to bring the long-running programme to a close.
Other Celebrity Guests in the Final Season
The final season has already featured several well-known names from the entertainment industry. Salman Khan appeared in the opening episode, with actress Karisma Kapoor making a special appearance. The season also featured actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, followed by Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
The appearance of Kareena and Saif adds another popular celebrity pairing to the final season's guest list. Their episode is expected to continue the programme's familiar mix of candid conversations, playful questions and celebrity interactions.
The makers have promoted the episode through the newly released teaser, highlighting Kareena's humorous response to the show's ending and Saif's self-deprecating comment.
