Madhur Bhandarkar, the National Award-winning filmmaker behind films like Fashion, Heroine, and Page 3, is all set to tackle a new subject in his upcoming project, Wives of Bollywood. Known for his gritty, hard-hitting films inspired by real-life stories, Bhandarkar is excited to explore the lives of the wives of Bollywood's biggest stars.
Bhandarkar revealed that his audience has come to expect films that offer a deep, sometimes exposing, look at their subjects. "Whenever I’m seen talking to people, they assume I’m doing research for my next project. I dive into every big and small detail of the topic I choose," said the director. He shared that the title Wives of Bollywood has been with him for quite some time, and he is keen on shedding light on this often unseen aspect of the entertainment industry.
The film promises to explore the lives of Bollywood wives with the same level of detail and authenticity that has made Bhandarkar's previous works so impactful. He hopes the audience will connect with the grittiness of the film and appreciate its take on the complexities faced by these women in the glamorous yet challenging world of Bollywood.
