Mumbai:
Fans of psychological thrillers and horror dramas have reason to celebrate — the upcoming web series Khauf, featuring acclaimed actors Monika Panwar and Rajat Kapoor, is all set to premiere on Prime Video on April 18, 2025. The series promises to deliver a chilling experience with its gripping storyline, atmospheric visuals, and nuanced performances.
Khauf (translated as "Fear") dives deep into the darker side of the human mind, exploring unexplained events and psychological terror in a small town haunted by secrets. Directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan, the show blends suspense, mystery, and horror to create a nerve-wracking viewing experience.
Monika Panwar, known for her impressive performance in Jamtara, plays a woman caught between reality and hallucination, while Rajat Kapoor, a veteran of complex roles, portrays a man with a hidden past that threatens to unravel everything. The two characters are brought together by a series of chilling events that point toward something far more sinister than they expected.
The teaser, released earlier this week, showcases haunting imagery, cryptic symbols, and chilling background scores that have already captured the attention of horror fans. Social media is abuzz with fan theories and speculation about the plot’s supernatural twist.
The creators have revealed that Khauf is not just a horror series, but also a psychological thriller that delves into human emotions like guilt, grief, and fear — all while keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
Speaking about the project, Monika Panwar said, “This role pushed me into emotionally intense spaces I’ve never explored before. It’s more than just horror — it’s about what fear does to people.”
Rajat Kapoor added, “Khauf will surprise viewers. It’s unsettling in the best way — a story that stays with you.”
The show is expected to launch with 8 episodes. With strong performances and a tightly written plot, Khauf is shaping up to be a must-watch for lovers of Indian horror and suspense dramas.
