Ramayana Advance Booking Nears Rs 10 Crore Ahead of November 5 Release
The upcoming mythological epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is approaching the Rs 10 crore mark in opening-day advance bookings ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on November 5, 2026. The film has attracted early ticket sales across several Indian markets, with the Hindi version contributing the largest share of pre-release bookings.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, as reported by NDTV, the film had recorded Rs 8.27 crore in advance-booking gross as of 10 am on October 23. More than 1.47 lakh tickets had been sold across 3,964 shows. These figures relate to advance ticket sales for the opening day and should not be confused with the film's final box-office collection.
The figures indicate growing interest in the film as its release approaches. However, advance-booking totals can change as cinemas add screenings, ticket availability expands and audiences make further reservations.
Hindi Version Leads Advance Ticket Sales
The Hindi version has accounted for the largest share of Ramayana's advance bookings so far. According to the reported figures, Hindi screenings generated approximately Rs 7.48 crore, placing the language version well ahead of the other releases.
The Kannada version recorded advance bookings worth approximately Rs 57.69 lakh, while the Telugu version collected around Rs 21.11 lakh. These figures indicate that Hindi-language screenings currently dominate the film's domestic pre-sales, although bookings for other language versions may increase as the release date approaches.
Ramayana is planned as a multilingual release, giving audiences across different regions an opportunity to watch the film in their preferred language. Demand across language versions will be an important factor in determining how broadly the film performs during its opening period.
The current figures represent an early snapshot of advance sales rather than a final assessment of audience response. Actual box-office performance will depend on ticket sales closer to release, theatre occupancy, audience reactions and reviews after the film reaches cinemas.
Delhi-NCR Records the Biggest Recent Growth
Delhi-NCR has emerged as one of the strongest markets for Ramayana's advance bookings. According to NDTV's report, the region recorded a 13 per cent increase compared with the previous day's figures, with advance-booking gross exceeding Rs 2 crore.
Mumbai ranked next among the reported city markets, with approximately Rs 1.49 crore in advance sales. Hyderabad recorded around Rs 47 lakh, while Bengaluru generated approximately Rs 44.97 lakh. Pune contributed about Rs 42.6 lakh.
The figures highlight the importance of major metropolitan markets to the film's opening-day ticket sales. Delhi-NCR's increase suggests that demand in the region strengthened during the period covered by the report.
At the state level, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat and Telangana were among the leading contributors to advance bookings, according to the published data.
These regional figures may change as more cinemas open bookings and additional shows become available. The ranking of individual markets can also shift depending on ticket prices, the number of screenings and audience demand.
Night Shows and Morning Screenings Attract Demand
The reported advance-booking data also showed demand across different screening times. Night shows had generated approximately Rs 2.77 crore, while morning screenings had collected around Rs 2.45 crore as of the reported update.
The figures suggest that audiences are booking tickets for both early and late screenings ahead of the film's opening day. However, collection totals alone do not establish which time slot has the highest occupancy, because ticket prices and the number of available seats can differ between screenings.
The popularity of particular show timings may also vary by city. Large metropolitan areas often offer a wider selection of screening times and premium formats, while smaller markets may have fewer available shows.
As the release date approaches, further booking updates will provide a clearer picture of demand across different regions, languages and cinema formats.
Cast and Creative Team Behind Ramayana
Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, and Yash appears as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, alongside other established performers.
The film adapts the Indian epic Ramayana for a large-scale cinematic production. Its cast, visual presentation and ambitious production scale have contributed to public interest ahead of its theatrical release.
The project is planned as a two-part film series. The first instalment is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2026, while the second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
The production's multilingual release strategy is intended to reach audiences across several Indian markets and international territories. Its opening-day advance bookings will therefore be watched closely by trade observers as an early indicator of audience interest.
What the Advance-Booking Figures Mean
The reported Rs 8.27 crore advance-booking gross provides an early indication of ticket demand, but it does not determine the film's final box-office performance. Advance sales can continue to increase before the opening day, and the eventual result will depend on factors such as theatre availability, ticket prices, audience feedback and repeat viewing.
It is also important to distinguish gross advance bookings from figures calculated after blocked seats are excluded. Different industry reports may use different reporting times or counting methods, which can lead to variations in the totals published by individual outlets.
The latest figures cited by NDTV were reported as of 10 am on October 23, based on Sacnilk's tracking. Any later update should be checked against a current report before publication.
With the November 5 release approaching, Ramayana is continuing to build its opening-day advance sales. The Hindi version remains the leading contributor, while Delhi-NCR has recorded the strongest recent growth among the reported city markets. Further booking updates will help establish whether the film moves beyond the Rs 10 crore mark before its theatrical debut.
