The IIFA Awards 2024 are all set to light up Yas Island in Abu Dhabi from September 27 to 29, with a star-studded lineup and a weekend full of entertainment. The excitement began with a press conference in Mumbai on September 10, where Shah Rukh Khan’s new short hairstyle quickly became the talk of the town. At the event, SRK showcased his trademark humor, playfully teasing the younger generation about their manner of showing respect to elders. This lighthearted moment set the stage for Rana Daggubati’s memorable gesture—when he came up on stage, he touched SRK’s feet, remarking, "We are fully South India, so this is how we do it." The moment was met with smiles as SRK warmly hugged Rana, marking one of the highlights of the event.
But the fun didn’t stop there. The evening was filled with SRK's sharp wit, especially when he shared the stage with Karan Johar. In a playful exchange, SRK jokingly urged Karan to attend rehearsals, ribbing him for preferring Zoom meetings over in-person rehearsals. He also humorously nudged Karan, saying, "Make some movies also, brother, how much will you host." The IIFA Awards this year promise more memorable moments with the presence of iconic Bollywood figures like Rekha, and performances by stars such as Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, and Janhvi Kapoor. With such a dazzling lineup, the event is sure to be a spectacular celebration of Indian cinema.
