Actress Sai Pallavi is set to play the iconic role of Sita in the much-anticipated film Ramayana, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram. As the film moves into active production, the first visuals of Sai Pallavi in costume have surfaced online, and fans can't stop talking about her ethereal appearance.
Draped in a simple yet divine saree with minimal makeup, Sai Pallavi embodies the grace, strength, and purity traditionally associated with the character of Sita. Her natural beauty and expressive eyes have left fans awestruck, with many praising the casting choice as “perfect”. Social media has been flooded with admiration, with several users calling her the “ideal Sita for a generation rediscovering mythology”.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal, Ramayana is being envisioned as a grand cinematic trilogy. The project is being produced on a massive scale and is said to blend advanced visual effects with rooted storytelling. The first part of the trilogy focuses on the story of Ram and Sita, leading up to the abduction by Ravana.
The film also features Yash of KGF fame, reportedly playing the role of Ravana, which adds even more star power to the already high-profile cast. With such a strong ensemble, Ramayana is one of the most ambitious mythological adaptations in Indian cinema.
Sai Pallavi, known for her powerful performances in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, is making her major Bollywood debut with this epic. Her fans are excited to see her step into such a revered role, especially in a story that holds deep cultural and emotional resonance across India.
With production underway, Ramayana is expected to hit theatres in late 2025 or early 2026. As anticipation builds, Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita is already setting high expectations for this mythological saga.
