The highly anticipated romantic number Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is reportedly facing a release delay, with sources indicating the song might now drop in August instead of the previously expected July window. The delay appears to be a strategic move by the production team to ensure that the track gains maximum visibility without clashing with other trending romantic releases.
In recent weeks, romantic tracks like Metro In Dino and the revived Saiyaara have taken over music streaming platforms and social media. Both songs have garnered significant attention, not only for their emotional depth and visual appeal but also due to the nostalgia and audience connection they bring. With these songs still trending across digital platforms, releasing Param Sundari now could risk getting overshadowed in a crowded space.
Param Sundari, which is not related to the Kriti Sanon number from Mimi, is a fresh romantic song created specifically for the upcoming untitled film that pairs Sidharth and Janhvi for the first time. The song has been composed by a prominent music director and reportedly blends traditional Indian melodies with a modern twist, designed to highlight the chemistry between the lead actors.
According to industry insiders, the song’s music video has already been shot, featuring visually rich backdrops and stylized choreography. Early reports suggest that the visual direction aims to showcase both glamour and emotion, positioning it as one of the key promotional assets for the film.
The production team is said to be closely monitoring the performance of ongoing releases to determine the most suitable window to unveil Param Sundari. A source close to the development mentioned that the team did not want the song to get lost in the current wave of romantic tracks, especially with the continued dominance of Saiyaara, which recently saw renewed interest after being featured in promotional reels and fan edits.
Marketing experts in the film industry often advise delaying music launches to ensure maximum impact, especially when similar genres are trending. A delay to early or mid-August would offer a relatively open slot in the music calendar, allowing the track to enjoy more focus and media coverage.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the film’s production house or the actors’ teams. However, social media fan accounts have already begun speculating about a mid-August teaser drop, followed by a full music video release later in the month.
If the buzz around the project holds, Param Sundari could emerge as a chart-topping romantic number, adding to the anticipation surrounding Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s first onscreen pairing. Until an official announcement is made, fans will have to wait a little longer to witness the magic the duo brings to this romantic melody.
