Sidharth Malhotra has revealed his next project, the folk-thriller Vvan – Force of the Forest, set to hit theaters in 2025. The film is a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms and Arunabh Kumar's The Viral Fever (TVF). Directed by Arunabh and Deepak Mishra, who previously helmed the popular web series Panchayat, the film promises a chilling narrative rooted in folklore.
On Thursday night, Sidharth shared the film's first look in the form of a motion poster, featuring eerie visuals and a haunting soundtrack. The video begins with a warning sign saying, "Entering the jungle after sunset is prohibited." It then shows an animated figure of a man holding a lamp, fleeing from a kingdom deep in the forest, just as ominous eyes emerge from the darkness. The teaser hints at an intense and spine-chilling tale.
Malhotra took to social media, sharing his enthusiasm for the film, captioning the motion poster with, "Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team, directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra. Can’t wait for you all to experience ‘VVAN - Force of the Forest’ on the big screen in 2025."
The film is slated to release during the Chhath festival in 2025, with more details about the project expected soon. Sidharth's recent appearance in the action-packed film Yodha, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, has already sparked interest in his upcoming projects.
