The trailer for Anupam Kher’s new drama The Signature has been released. Directed by Gajendra Ahire, this film is a remake of the critically acclaimed 2013 Marathi movie Anumati, which also had Ahire at the helm. Alongside Kher, the film features a stellar cast including Mahima Chaudhary, Neena Kulkarni, Annu Kapoor, and Ranvir Shorey.
In The Signature, Kher plays the role of Arvind, a devoted husband whose life is turned upside down when his wife, Madhu (Neena Kulkarni), falls seriously ill and is put on a ventilator. As medical bills pile up, Arvind embarks on a journey to gather funds for her treatment, seeking help from friends, family, and even his children. The trailer highlights several emotionally charged moments, with Kher conveying the anguish and desperation of potentially losing his long-time partner.
The original Marathi film Anumati was highly praised, earning Vikram Gokhale the National Film Award for Best Actor. The Signature is produced by K.C. Bokadia and Anupam Kher Studio and will be available for streaming on ZEE5 starting October 4.
