Mumbai, August 4, 2025 – Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, who is gaining attention for her performance in the upcoming crime thriller Mandala Murders, has spoken openly about her relatively low presence on the big screen in recent years. In an exclusive interview, Vaani shared her thoughts on the challenges of sustaining a meaningful career in the film industry and why she chooses to be selective with her work.

Known for films like Shuddh Desi Romance, War, and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Vaani Kapoor has often been praised for her performances. However, fans have also noticed that she is not frequently seen in mainstream projects. Addressing this, Vaani explained that her absence from the screen is not due to a lack of interest but rather her conscious decision to be selective about the roles she takes on.

"It has not been easy," Vaani admitted. "There are times when you have to say no to projects because they do not align with your vision or the kind of work you want to do. It is tempting to stay visible and be part of every opportunity, but I want my roles to have purpose and substance."

She went on to explain that the journey in the industry can be uncertain, especially when an actor tries to break away from stereotypical roles. "There is pressure to maintain visibility, to be in the news, and to constantly deliver commercial hits. But I have never wanted to be part of something just for the sake of staying relevant. I want to grow as an actor and contribute to stories that matter."

Speaking about her latest project Mandala Murders, Vaani expressed her excitement about taking on a character that is complex and emotionally demanding. The crime thriller, directed by Gopi Puthran, offers her a role that she believes will connect with audiences on a deeper level. “This script challenged me, and I could not say no to it. It is rare to find a role that is both powerful and vulnerable at the same time,” she said.

Vaani also reflected on the support she has received from a small but loyal audience who value her work. "There are viewers who wait for my films and appreciate the kind of cinema I choose to be part of. That encouragement means a lot and keeps me going," she added.

As for the future, Vaani Kapoor says she is open to experimenting with new genres, including digital platforms, but will continue to prioritize quality over quantity. "My journey may not be the fastest or the loudest, but I want it to be genuine and impactful."

Her comments offer a glimpse into the struggles many actors face in balancing career aspirations with personal integrity, and her resolve to pursue roles that resonate with her values adds depth to her presence in the film industry.
