The highly anticipated film Vanvaas, directed by Anil Sharma, who previously helmed the blockbuster Gadar 2, will see the collaboration of veteran actor Nana Patekar and rising star Utkarsh Sharma. The film's release date has been officially announced for December 20, making it a festive treat for audiences.
Touted as a modern adaptation of the mythological epic Ramayana, Vanvaas promises to explore timeless themes of duty, honor, and the consequences of one’s actions that shape individual lives. According to a press release from the makers, the story presents an intriguing narrative that resonates with ancient tales.
The announcement was made via social media by Zee Studios, the film's production house, alongside a poster featuring Nana and Utkarsh sharing a light moment. The accompanying caption encourages viewers to “know your loved ones” this Christmas, hinting at the film’s emotional depth: “Anil Sharma brings to you his next emotional rollercoaster ride! #Vanvaas releasing 20th December, in cinemas near you.”
Anil Sharma is recognized for creating impactful films, including Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), Apne (2007), Veer (2010), and Singh Saab the Great (2013). Vanvaas marks another collaboration between Sharma and Zee Studios, following the success of Gadar 2, which released last year.
