Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his versatile roles across film and digital platforms, recently shared his thoughts on working alongside debutante Shanaya Kapoor in their upcoming film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The film, directed by a well-regarded filmmaker, marks the formal entry of Shanaya Kapoor into the Hindi film industry and is already generating curiosity among fans and industry observers alike.
In an exclusive interview, Vikrant Massey expressed admiration for Shanaya’s professionalism and approach to her first major role. He described her as someone who was not only passionate about acting but also highly committed to learning and improving with each day on set. “It is rare to see a newcomer put in this much effort so consistently,” Massey said. “Shanaya came fully prepared, listened carefully, and brought a fresh perspective to every scene. Working with her was a learning experience for me as well.”
The film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a romantic drama set against a contemporary backdrop, focusing on two individuals from different worlds who are drawn together by fate. The story explores themes of vulnerability, trust, and emotional resilience. While Vikrant Massey plays a complex character with emotional depth, Shanaya’s role reportedly required her to portray a strong yet sensitive personality navigating modern challenges.
According to crew members, Shanaya underwent months of acting workshops and rehearsals before filming began. Her dedication to perfecting her dialogue delivery and emotional expressions was noted by both the director and co-actors. Despite being new to the industry, she was reportedly punctual, cooperative, and open to feedback on set.
Vikrant Massey, a seasoned actor who has worked in films like Chhapaak, 12th Fail, and Haseen Dillruba, mentioned that Shanaya’s enthusiasm reminded him of his early days in the industry. “She asked questions, rehearsed diligently, and respected the process. That’s a quality that even experienced actors sometimes lose over time,” he added.
The film’s director also echoed similar sentiments, praising the chemistry between the two leads. He said that the dynamic between Vikrant and Shanaya translated well on screen and added emotional weight to the story. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to release in theatres in the second half of 2025.
Meanwhile, Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor, has already gathered a following through her social media presence and public appearances. Her debut has been the subject of industry buzz, with expectations riding high due to her film lineage. This positive endorsement from Vikrant Massey may further strengthen her position as a promising newcomer in the industry.
As the release date approaches, both actors have resumed promotional activities, including interviews, digital campaigns, and fan interactions. With a strong storyline, experienced crew, and fresh casting, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is poised to be one of the most anticipated romantic dramas of the year.
