Aishwarya Arjun has officially joined the cast of Seetha Payanam, the latest directorial venture of her father, Arjun Sarja. In this upcoming film, she will portray the titular character, Seetha, alongside actor Niranjan Sudhindra, who will play the lead role of Abhi.
The film is being developed as a trilingual project, set to be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. While the announcement of Aishwarya’s casting is exciting, additional details regarding the complete cast, crew, and plot are still pending. It remains uncertain whether Arjun Sarja will also take on a role in the film.
Aishwarya Arjun made her acting debut in the 2013 film Pattathu Yaanai, directed by Boopathy Pandian, where she starred opposite Vishal. She most recently appeared in Arjun's Prema Baraha, released in 2018, which was made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil (as Sollidava).
Arjun Sarja, a veteran in the industry, began his acting career with Simhada Mari Sainya (1981) in Kannada and Nandri (1984) in Tamil. He made his directorial debut with Sevagan in 1992 and has since directed 12 films. Notably, he recently penned the story for his nephew, Dhruva Sarja's latest film, Martin.
Seetha Payanam is produced under Arjun Sarja's banner, Sree Raam Films International, which began its journey with Sevagan and has since produced ten films.
Last seen in Virundhu, Arjun Sarja is currently working on Ajith's Vidaa Muyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. This project marks his second collaboration with Ajith, following their successful partnership in Mankatha (2011). Additionally, Arjun has other projects in the pipeline, including Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga and Aghathiyaa.
