Actor Ajith, who is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi, has raised concerns over the growing trend of his fans shouting ‘Kadavuley Ajithey’ at public events and gatherings. In an official press note, the actor expressed his discomfort with the use of superlatives and any prefixes added to his name. He emphasized that he prefers being addressed either by his name or initials, reiterating his earlier request for fans to avoid calling him ‘Thala’, a title that has been associated with him for years.
Ajith urged his fans to immediately stop indulging in such slogan-shouting, encouraging them to instead focus on working hard, enjoying life, and being mindful of their actions, without causing harm to anyone. He also advised his fans to take care of their families and be law-abiding citizens.
The actor’s comments came after several videos surfaced on social media showing fans chanting the ‘Kadavuley Ajithey’ slogan at both governmental and private events.
On the work front, Ajith has recently completed dubbing for his next film Vidaamuyarchi, which is directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film is set to hit theatres during Pongal 2025. Additionally, Ajith is working on the movie Good Bad Ugly with director Adhik Ravichandran. Outside of cinema, the actor is returning to his passion for racing and will compete in the 2024 European GT4 Championship, with his recently announced racing team.
