The makers of Miss You have unveiled the official music video for the track ‘Akkaru Bakkaru’, which was released on Monday. This vibrant and fun number, composed by Ghibran Vaibodha, written by Mohan Rajan, and sung by Gold Devaraj, has all the elements of a typical Tamil cinema ‘sarakku’ song. Known for their energetic beats and playful lyrics, such songs often capture the essence of Tamil film music, and ‘Akkaru Bakkaru’ is no exception. Its catchy rhythm and lively vocals promise to be a hit among audiences.
Directed by N Rajasekaran, Miss You stars Siddharth as Vasu, an aspiring filmmaker who embarks on a love story with Subbulakshmi, portrayed by Ashika Ranganath. However, things take a dramatic turn as Vasu’s life becomes entangled with a powerful politician, creating a clash that forms the crux of the narrative. The film is being pitched as an “unusual love story,” though the scenes in the recently released trailer suggest it will also contain many elements familiar to fans of Tamil commercial cinema, including romance, humor, and drama.
Miss You is a romantic comedy with a storyline penned by Ashok R, in collaboration with the director, N Rajasekaran. This marks the director’s return after his previous films, Maapla Singam and Kalathil Sandhippom, both of which were well-received for their engaging storytelling. The film is produced by Samuel Mathew under his banner, 7 Miles Per Second, and is packed with a strong supporting cast, including JP, Ponvannan, Naren, Anupama, Rama, Bala Saravanan, Karunakaran, Maaran, and Sashtika.
The film’s technical team includes well-known names in the industry: Ghibran for the music, KG Venkatesh for cinematography, and Dinesh Ponraj for editing. Their collective expertise adds a polished touch to the overall production, making it a highly anticipated release. The music, in particular, is expected to play a key role in the film’s appeal, with tracks like ‘Akkaru Bakkaru’ already creating a buzz.
Miss You is slated to hit theaters on November 29, 2024, alongside RJ Balaji’s Sorgavaasal, which is also generating significant attention. Fans of Siddharth and Tamil cinema in general are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, with expectations running high for what promises to be a fun-filled and emotional ride.
