The much-awaited trailer for Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, was released, giving viewers a glimpse into both the professional and personal life of the decorated soldier. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, and others. The storyline is based on the true-life events of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his bravery during a counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The trailer blends action-packed combat scenes with more emotional moments, including political tensions in Kashmir and a romantic subplot. A notable line from the trailer has Sivakarthikeyan’s character saying, “I am the face of the Indian Army.”
Amaran is inspired by the book India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military. The crew includes music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by CH Sai, and stunts by Stefan Richter. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures International Productions.
