After the success of Raayan, Dhanush is focused on his upcoming directorial venture Idli Kadai, which is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025. Not only will Dhanush direct the film, but he will also play the lead role and co-produce the project. The film stars Nithya Menen in a significant role, and though further details about the extended cast and plot remain under wraps, a new poster hints at Dhanush portraying the owner of a modest eatery named Sivanesan Idli Kadai.
This film marks Dhanush’s fourth directorial effort, following Pa Paandi, Raayan, and the soon-to-be-released Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The music for Idli Kadai will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, continuing their successful collaboration seen in Vaathi, Captain Miller, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
Idli Kadai will be produced by Dawn Pictures, Red Giant Movies, and Wunderbar Films, with Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush serving as producers and Sreyas Srinivasan as the executive producer. Fans can expect a heartwarming and entertaining story surrounding the life of a small-town eatery.
