Disney+ Hotstar is gearing up to revive one of Tamil television's beloved series, Office, as a web series. This Hotstar Specials production will reimagine the iconic 2013 workplace romantic comedy, offering a fresh and modern twist on the original concept. The series will retain the core essence of the workplace drama, showcasing the dynamics of office life, but with a reworked cast and setting.
The decision to transform Office into a web series follows the success of Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, another classic TV series that was revamped to cater to a digital audience. The original Office featured a talented cast, including Karthik Raj, Shruthi Raj, Vishnu, Madhumila, and others, and spanned over 562 episodes. Directed by Ram Vinayak, the show captured the everyday experiences of employees in an IT firm.
This new version will bring the series to a wider audience, incorporating contemporary themes while maintaining the charm and relatability that made the original show a hit. The full cast and release date are yet to be announced, but anticipation is building for the updated take on this beloved series.
