The first glimpse video, shared on YouTube, shows Sasikumar's Sri Lankan Tamil family as they prepare to flee the country, each member with their own quirky priorities. The glimpse suggests that while the film deals with serious themes, it will do so with a comedic twist, focusing on the emotional and joyful aspects of migration.

Director Jeevinth shared that Tourist Family would make audiences cry, not out of sorrow, but out of joy, evoking laughter while conveying deep emotions. He likened the film's emotional balance to that of Mozhi, which mixes humor and heartfelt moments. The film's core message is that "whatever goes, comes back," emphasizing the cyclical nature of life and relationships.
