The much-awaited teaser for Fire, the directorial debut of J Sathish Kumar, was unveiled on Wednesday, giving viewers a glimpse of the gripping thriller. The film centers around Kasi (Balaji Murugadoss), a chiropractor with a dark secret. Allegedly, he has lured multiple women into sexual relationships under the pretense of marriage, leading to a police investigation. The teaser presents various women sharing their versions of Kasi, followed by the police probe into his actions.
The story of Fire is believed to be inspired by the notorious Nagercoil Kasi case of 2020, where a man named Kasi was implicated in a sextortion racket. He filmed intimate videos of over 100 women and extorted large sums of money from them. Authorities recovered nearly 1,900 obscene photos and 400 videos from his possession, with over 120 women being exploited in the process.
Produced by Sathish Kumar under JSK Film Corporation, Fire also stars Chandini Tamilarasan, Rachitha Mahalakshmi, Sakshi Agarwal, Gayathri Shan, Singampuli, and Suresh Chakravarthi in key roles. The technical team includes music composer DK, cinematographer Sathish G, editor CS Prem Kumar, and art director SS Suseedevaraj. With a suspenseful premise and strong performances, Fire is set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
