As the release date of Nirangal Moondru approaches on November 22, the filmmakers revealed a sneak peek into Atharvaa's character, Vetri, on Friday. Vetri, an aspiring filmmaker, is depicted as a frustrated creator, struggling to get his work noticed by the producers. His unconventional approach to filmmaking, which includes stories without songs or heroines—an unusual concept in Tamil cinema—sets him apart in a world dominated by formulaic narratives.
Directed by Karthick Naren, this marks the filmmaker's fifth project, following his debut Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (2016), Mafia: Chapter 1 (2020), a segment in Navarasa (2021), and Maaran (2022), starring Dhanush. Nirangal Moondru also brings together actor Rahman for the second time with Naren after Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. It’s the first collaboration between Naren and Atharvaa, as well as Sarath Kumar.
The film also stars Nikki Galrani and is set to feature an impressive technical team, including music by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Tijo Tomy, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and stunt choreography by Don Ashok. Despite Naren's Naragasooran yet to release, Nirangal Moondru has generated significant anticipation among audiences.
