Pa Ranjith has released the first single from Thandakaaranyam, a film starring Kalaiyarasan and Attakathi Dinesh in lead roles. The song, titled 'Adiye Alangaari', is performed by Krishnaraj and Ananya Bhat, with lyrics written by Uma Devi. This breezy track introduces the romantic relationships between the lead characters, adding an emotional layer to the film's tone.
The initial poster, launched a few weeks ago, depicted Kalaiyarasan in camouflage holding a red flag, while Dinesh appeared as a villager armed with a twig. These visuals, combined with the film’s title—derived from the forest in the Ramayana where Lord Ram was exiled—suggest a storyline centered around a forest setting, possibly linked to themes of naxalism. However, specific plot details have not yet been disclosed.
Thandakaaranyam is produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions in collaboration with S Sai Venkateswaran and S Sai Devanand’s Learn and Teach Productions. The film features a supporting cast that includes Riythvika, Vinsu Sam, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Muthukumar, Arul Dass, Saranya Ravichandran, and Bala Saravanan. The technical team consists of Pratheep Kaliraja as the cinematographer, Selva RK as the editor, and Justin Prabhakaran as the music composer.
While fans eagerly await more details, a release date for Thandakaaranyam has yet to be confirmed.
