Ezhil Periyavedi’s debut film Parari has garnered global acclaim at various film festivals, thanks in part to the support of filmmaker Raju Murugan, who is both a mentor to Ezhil and the presenter of the film.
On Thursday, the makers unveiled the first single from the film, titled "Saambava." This romantic track features the music of Sean Roldan, lyrics by Uma Devi, and vocals by Meenakshi Elayaraja. The song has been well-received, adding to the film’s growing buzz.
The recently released teaser for Parari highlights the struggles of an oppressed community grappling with severe injustices and a lack of basic necessities. The film stars Hari Sankar, known for his role in Thozhar Venkatesan (2019), as the lead, with debutant Sangeetha Kalyan playing the female lead. The cast also includes newcomers who trained for six months to prepare for their roles.
The technical team behind Parari comprises music by Sean Roldan, lyrics by Uma Devi, cinematography by Sridhar, and editing by Sam RDX. As of now, the makers have yet to announce the release date for the film, but its festival success and the recent single have heightened anticipation among audiences.
