Vettaiyan, the much-anticipated film starring Rajinikanth, is set to hit theaters on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The excitement builds with the release of the film's second single, "Hunter Vantaar," an energetic track composed by Anirudh. This mass number serves as a beat-heavy background for the film while also being a tribute to Rajinikanth himself.
The song features vocals by Siddharth Basrur, with lyrics penned by Arivu. Notably, both Anirudh and Rajinikanth contributed their voices to the track, although they remain uncredited. This song joins the ranks of previous successful collaborations between Anirudh and Rajinikanth, including "Hukum" from Jailer (2023), "Thani Vazhi" from Darbar (2020), and "Petta Paraak" from Petta (2019).
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan in his Tamil debut, alongside Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and VJ Rakshan. This film marks a significant reunion between Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, who last appeared together in Hum in 1991, a gap of 33 years.
The cast has recently completed dubbing for their roles, heightening anticipation for the film's release. On the technical side, Anirudh returns for his fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth, following their successful partnerships in Petta (2019), Darbar (2020), and Jailer (2023). Other key contributors include cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj, who together aim to create a visually stunning and compelling narrative.
Mark your calendars for October 10, as Vettaiyan promises to deliver a cinematic experience filled with action, drama, and unforgettable music.
