Karthi, the beloved South Indian actor, is poised to impress audiences with his upcoming film Meiyazhagan, which is set to hit theaters on September 27. As the promotional activities ramp up in anticipation of the release, the film has recently crossed a significant milestone by obtaining a 'U' certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). With a runtime of 2 hours and 57 minutes, Meiyazhagan is expected to be a lengthy yet engaging cinematic experience.
Directed by Prem Kumar, the film stars Karthi alongside Aravind Swamy, Sri Divya, and Raj Kiran in pivotal roles. The recently released trailer has heightened expectations, showcasing the film as a feel-good rural drama that touches on the theme of nostalgia for village life among those who migrate to urban areas. This emotional narrative is anticipated to resonate with audiences, particularly as it centers on the performances of Karthi and Aravind Swamy, who are both taking on fresh and challenging roles.
Meiyazhagan will also be released in Telugu, under the title Sathya Sundaram, broadening its audience reach. The film will face competition at the box office from Vijay Antony's Hitler and Prabhu Deva's Petta Rap, but it is expected to dominate by securing a larger number of screens. With its emotional depth and engaging storyline, Meiyazhagan is poised to make a significant impact upon its release.
