Madhakaja Raja, featuring Vishal and Santhanam, has garnered positive feedback from audiences, exceeding the high expectations surrounding its release. Directed by the talented Sundar C, the film also boasts stellar performances from actors like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anjali, and others. The music for the film, composed by Vijay Antony, has added to its appeal, and it is produced by Gemini Film Circuit.
After a long gap, the film has proven to be a success, particularly with its strong comedic moments. Santhanam’s comedy, which fans have missed for some time, is at the heart of the film's success. His portrayal in this role has captured the audience's attention and earned praise. Speaking about the film during a press meet, Sundar C shared his deep admiration for Santhanam and his comedic timing. He expressed that he missed the actor in such roles and hoped to see him back in comedy films.
Sundar C stated, “We’ve waited for 13 years for this day. I believe this movie will make you laugh for at least 15 minutes. There is no better gift this Pongal than this. Watching Madhakaja Raja will show how much I miss Santhanam’s comedy. He has turned into a big hero now, but I sincerely hope he returns to doing comedy roles again. We all miss him, and I miss him a lot. Miss you, Santhanam.” The heartfelt request from the director has been a testament to how much fans long for Santhanam’s return to his comedy roots.
