The makers of Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), released the official music video for the Matta song on September 23. The track is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also lends his voice along with Shenbagaraj, Velu, Sam, and Narayanan Ravishankar. The lyrics are written by Vivek. A highlight of the video is Trisha's cameo, where she recreates the famous dance moves from the classic Appadi Podu song, bringing a nostalgic touch to the new track.
GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, boasts an ensemble cast that includes Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhudeva, Mohan, and Jayaram. Additionally, regular collaborators of Venkat Prabhu—Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash—also appear in the film. AI technology was used to bring late actor and politician Vijayakanth to the screen for a special appearance.
Behind the scenes, GOAT features cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and action choreography by Dileep Subbarayan. The film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram under the AGS Entertainment banner, with Archana Kalpathi as the creative producer. Released on September 5, the film received mixed reviews but has been a success at the box office.
