To celebrate Tamil actor Dhruv Vikram's birthday, director Mari Selvaraj unveiled a new poster for his much-anticipated film Bison Kaalamaadan, which stars Dhruv in the lead role. Although the release date was not disclosed, the director confirmed that the film would hit theatres later this year.
Dhruv Vikram shared his excitement on Instagram after completing the film’s first schedule, describing it as "fiercely intense." The film began shooting in May and brings back the collaborative duo of producer Pa Ranjith and director Mari Selvaraj, known for their work on Pariyerum Perumal (2018). Bison Kaalamaadan is co-produced by Applause Entertainment and Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios.
Bison Kaalamaadan is a sports drama based on Kabaddi, marking Mari Selvaraj’s fifth directorial project following Pariyerum Perumal (2018), Karnan (2021), Maamannan (2023), and Vaazhai. For Dhruv Vikram, this will be his third film after Adithya Varma (2019) and Mahaan (2022).
The cast includes prominent actors like Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Aruvi Madhan. The film's technical team includes Nivas K Prasanna for music, Ezhil Arasu for cinematography, and Sakthikumar for editing.
