The music and trailer launch event of the highly anticipated film Kaadhalikka Neram Illai, starring Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen, took place in Chennai. The event saw the participation of several prominent figures including Nithya Menen, director Krithika Udhayanidhi, Jayam Ravi, filmmaker Mishkin, music director Anirudh, and the legendary A.R. Rahman.
During the event, Nithya Menen shared her views on the position of women in the film industry. She stated, "Generally, people think that playing in a romantic film is easy. However, it’s not that simple. Even if we are in a pivotal role in a love story, we are often considered second to the male lead. This is not just in cinema, but in all fields."
Her comment shed light on the struggles faced by women, emphasizing how they are often placed in secondary roles, regardless of the importance of their characters or contributions.
