Pa Ranjith, a leading filmmaker renowned for his political activism, expressed his congratulations to actor-politician Vijay on his inaugural political speech via a tweet. This event took place during the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) conference in Vikravandi, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, where Vijay outlined his political ideologies.
In his post, Ranjith emphasized the importance of Vijay’s declaration that "Pirappokkum ella uyirkkum" (All are equal by birth) is a fundamental truth. He expressed heartfelt wishes to Vijay, referring to him as “Vijay anna,” and welcomed his commitment to being “part of the administration, part of the governance.” Ranjith also appreciated Vijay’s pledge to fight against religious and caste-based separatism, as well as corruption.
Ranjith is known for his outspoken criticism of caste discrimination and aligns himself with the ideologies of BR Ambedkar. In his speech, Vijay identified his ideological influences, mentioning figures such as Periyar, Kamarajar, BR Ambedkar, Velu Nachiyar, and Anjalai Ammal.
