Pechi, a Tamil horror film featuring Gayathrie Shankar and Bala Saravanan, is set to premiere on Prime Video and Aha Tamil this Friday. The film, which opened in theaters on August 2, garnered average reviews from audiences and critics alike.
Directed and written by Ramachandran B, Pechi is inspired by an eponymous short film by the renowned filmmaker Balu Mahendra. The film delves into age-old themes such as black magic and witchcraft, creating a chilling atmosphere centered around these superstitions.
An excerpt from the review highlights the film's initial success in building suspense: "Initially, Pechi does a good job of capturing and holding our interest as it convincingly sets up the forest as a hotbed of superstition with minimal background music. However, whatever little sign of novelty the film exhibits initially starts to wear thin soon."
With its intriguing premise and notable cast, Pechi aims to offer a gripping horror experience, now available for streaming on Prime Video and Aha Tamil.
