Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's Amaran has garnered unanimous praise from both the audience and critics since its release on October 31, 2024. The film has been lauded not only for its action-packed sequences but also for its heartfelt portrayal of the emotions and struggles of a soldier's family.
In a unique acknowledgment of the film's impact, the village of Ranuvapettai, renowned for sending many of its young men into the Indian army, organized a special screening of Amaran. The villagers celebrated the film as their own, paying tribute to its authentic depiction of military life and family sacrifices. A photo of army family members gathered outside the theater was shared by the makers to commemorate the occasion.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran also stars Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh and Rahul Bose as Colonel Amit Singh Dabas, the commanding officer of the protagonist.
