Actor and director Revathy recently took to Instagram to celebrate Meiyazhagan, starring Karthi and Arvind Swami. She described it as a “beautiful feel-good film” and praised director C Prem Kumar’s sensitive storytelling, highlighting the film’s relatability and the authenticity brought by Karthi and Arvind Swami. According to Revathy, the film stands out with its simplicity and genuine warmth amid the commercial releases.
Directed by C Prem Kumar, Meiyazhagan was released in theaters on September 27 to a positive audience response. Alongside Karthi and Arvind Swami, the film features a strong supporting cast, including Rajkiran, Saran Shakthi, Devadarshini, and Jayaprakash. This project brings Revathy and Arvind Swami together again after Marupadiyum and Pasamalargal, although Revathy has yet to work with Karthi.
Following its initial release, Meiyazhagan was revised, with its runtime shortened by 18 minutes and 42 seconds from its original 2 hours and 57 minutes to 2 hours and 38 minutes, making the viewing experience more seamless.
