The cause of her father's death has not been disclosed as of now.
Joseph Prabhu was a Telugu Anglo-Indian, and Samantha had often expressed how much he meant to her, referring to him as her inspiration. He is survived by his wife, Ninette Prabhu, their daughter Samantha, and sons Jonath and David.
On the professional front, Samantha was last seen in the series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which has received positive reviews. She is currently working on the upcoming project Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, in which she stars alongside Ali Fazal.
