Sarathkumar’s 150th film, The Smile Man, has officially announced its release date: December 27. The crime thriller, directed by Syam and Praveen, features Sarathkumar in the role of a retired police officer battling early signs of Alzheimer's while trying to solve the mystery of a copycat killer. The killer’s victims are found in bizarre locations, with their mouths mutilated into smiles, leaving behind a chilling trail.
In a previous teaser poster, the film hinted at Sarathkumar playing a dual role. Syam explained that the film follows a retired police officer who, despite suffering from memory loss, must solve the case before Alzheimer's takes full control of his mind.
The film's impressive cast includes Sija Rose, Ineya, George Maryan, Suresh Menon, Kumar Natarajan, and Aazhiya. Behind the scenes, Vikram Mohan takes charge as the filmmaker, with Gavaskar Avinash composing the music and San Lokesh handling the editing. The film is produced by Salil Das, Anish Haridasan, and Anandan T.
