After the successful reception of the first single "Hey Minnale" from Amaran, the team behind the Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi-starrer has announced the release of the second single, "Vennilavu Saaral." Composed by GV Prakash, the song will be unveiled tomorrow, September 17, at 11 am. A preview of this melodious track has already been shared by the makers, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in tender moments with each other and their on-screen child.
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is based on the true story of late Major Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. The story draws inspiration from the book India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Major Mukund Varadarajan was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his valor during a counterterrorism mission in Jammu and Kashmir while serving with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion.
Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, while Sai Pallavi portrays his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese. Recently, the makers revealed Sai Pallavi's character look, which has already generated excitement among fans.
The film boasts an impressive technical team, including cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. Amaran is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Sony Pictures International Productions.
Amaran is slated for a Diwali release on October 31, where it will compete at the box office with two other major releases: Jayam Ravi's Brother and Kavin's Bloody Beggar.
