Amaran has garnered considerable anticipation as it is based on the true story of a martyr, positioning it for potential success at the box office. The film's prospects were bolstered following a special screening held in New Delhi for army officials and their families on Thursday. Attendees praised the film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, highlighting the compelling performances of Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi as they depicted late Major Mukund Varadarajan and his associates.
Social media is abuzz with photos of the cast alongside army personnel, along with the first reviews of the film.
The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh. It is inspired by the book India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military.
The production team includes music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, editor Kalaivanan, and stunt director Stefan Richter. Amaran is produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Sony Pictures International Productions.
Amaran is set to release on Diwali, October 31, where it will compete with other films such as Jayam Ravi's Brother and Kavin's Bloody Beggar.
