Suriya is gearing up for another exciting project following the completion of his film with Karthik Subbaraj. The actor has officially announced a collaboration with actor-director RJ Balaji for a new venture tentatively titled Suriya 45. This action-adventure film is being produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, renowned for its critically acclaimed blockbusters such as Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, and Farhana. According to the production team, this upcoming film is set to be the most expensive project in the production house's history.
Adding to the film's excitement, the music will be composed by the legendary AR Rahman, who has previously worked on hit films featuring Suriya, including Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Aayudha Ezhuthu, and 24.
RJ Balaji, who last directed Veetla Vishesham in 2022, is currently in the pre-production phase for Suriya 45. He has dedicated over a year to developing the script and is actively scouting locations for filming. The filmmakers plan to assemble an ensemble cast, with announcements expected soon.
Production for Suriya 45 is slated to begin in November 2024, with a release targeted for late 2025. In the meantime, Suriya is looking forward to the release of Kanguva, directed by Siva, which is set to hit theaters on November 14. He is also working on another project titled Puranaanooru, directed by Sudha Kongara.
