After a notable delay, Suriya's eagerly awaited film Kanguva is officially scheduled for release on November 14. Initially set for an October 10 release, the film was postponed to avoid clashing with Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is set to be a grand fantasy period action film, and it will be released in two parts.
The film's trailer, unveiled on August 12, introduces Suriya in the role of Kanguva, a formidable tribal leader depicted as unstoppable and fierce. The trailer also highlights the film's intense action sequences and historical depth, with Suriya's character embroiled in epic battles and a struggle against Bobby Deol's antagonist, who seeks to overthrow him to seize control of his land and people.
Kanguva features an ensemble cast including Disha Patani, who makes her Tamil film debut, along with Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, G Marimuthu, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar, and Deepa Venkat. The film is produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, with cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and editing by Nishadh Yusuf.
Expected to be released in 38 languages, Kanguva will be available in both 3D and IMAX formats, promising a visually stunning experience. The film is poised to explore multiple time periods, adding depth to its historical and fantasy elements.
