Actor Vemal is set to star in the supernatural horror film Belladonna, directed by debut filmmaker Santhosh Babu Muthusamy. The film marks a milestone in Vemal's career as his 35th project and his first foray into the supernatural genre. Belladonna is expected to have a massive release in 16 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Director Santhosh Babu Muthusamy shared his excitement about the project, saying, "Belladonna will deliver a fresh and unique theatrical experience. It's a grand project, with perfect casting and a dedicated team working across every department to bring this vision to life."
Vemal, who has been active in the industry for several years, previously appeared in films such as Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai and SIR. Along with Belladonna, Vemal also has Desingu Raja 2 in the works.
The film is produced by Sri Tejas under the Euphoria Flicks banner, with cinematography by A Vinod Bharathi, music by AC John Peter, and editing by Deepak LP. Art direction is handled by V Suresh, and Danger Mani takes charge of the stunts.
