Vikram has joined forces with director Madonne Ashwin, acclaimed for his work on Mandela and Maaveeran, for his 63rd film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 63. The film is being produced by Arun Viswa under the banner of Shanthi Talkies. This project marks Shanthi Talkies' second collaboration with Ashwin after their successful venture Maaveeran. However, details regarding the cast, crew, plot, and genre of Chiyaan 63 are still under wraps, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more information.
Shanthi Talkies is also currently backing actor Siddharth's upcoming film Siddharth 40, which is directed by Sri Ganesh. This film features Chaithra Achar, Meetha Raghunath, Devayani, and Sarath Kumar in key roles, adding to the excitement surrounding the production house's lineup.
Vikram, on the other hand, was last seen in Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, which recently premiered on Netflix. The actor is also busy working on Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2, directed by SU Arun Kumar of Chittha fame. Additionally, he is awaiting the release of the much-anticipated and delayed Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
Before making his directorial debut with Mandela, Madonne Ashwin worked as a dialogue writer for Nithilan Saminathan's Kurangu Bommai and as a writer for Guhan Senniappan's Vella Raja. Ashwin's debut film Mandela, starring Yogi Babu, was widely appreciated, and he won the Best Debut Film of a Director award and Best Screenplay (Dialogue) award at the 68th National Film Awards, cementing his place as a promising filmmaker in the industry.
