Vishal, one of the prominent actors in Tamil cinema, made his debut with the film Chellame and went on to establish himself as a top hero with hits like Sandakozhi and Thamirabharani. Apart from acting, he serves as the General Secretary of the Tamil Film Producers' Council and remains highly active in both his professional and social engagements.
Vishal’s latest project, Madhagaja Raja, is finally set for a re-release after a long delay of 13 years. The film was shot in 2012 and was originally slated for a 2013 release but faced several postponements. Now, after more than a decade, the film will hit the screens during Pongal 2025. A special re-release event took place in Chennai, where Vishal, along with director Sundar C and other cast members, attended the function.
During the event, Vishal appeared visibly disturbed, with his hands trembling and his voice shaky. This unexpected sight caused concern among his fans, who expressed their worries on social media. Some fans even suggested that Vishal should take better care of his health. There were also reports from netizens stating that his voice and hand tremors could be due to a viral fever.
The producers later confirmed that Vishal had been suffering from a viral infection and was experiencing physical strain during the promotional event. Despite his health issues, he shared some fond memories from the film's shoot, including an anecdote about Vijay Antony, who had approached him during the filming of Madhagaja Raja and suggested that Vishal should consider singing in the film, calling him "the singer who no longer needs to sing."
The film features Vishal in the lead role, alongside actresses Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anjali, and comedian Santhanam. After years of waiting, Madhagaja Raja is finally poised to release in theatres for Pongal 2025, with high expectations surrounding its release.
