After 36 years since their iconic collaboration on Nayakan, director Mani Ratnam and legendary actor Kamal Haasan are teaming up once again for the highly anticipated gangster drama Thug Life. The announcement comes just as Kamal Haasan prepares to celebrate his 70th birthday on November 7, when the first glimpse of the film will be unveiled at 11 AM, accompanied by the tagline, "Watch Out For The Thugs."
Joining Kamal Haasan is a stellar cast that includes Silambarasan, Trisha, Nassar, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Abhirami, all in pivotal roles. The technical lineup for Thug Life is equally impressive, featuring acclaimed cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, music maestro AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and action choreography by the Anbariv duo.
The film is a co-production between Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Film International, and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies. While details of the plot remain under wraps, Thug Life promises a powerful return for the duo and is expected to be a thrilling addition to Kamal Haasan’s ongoing filmography, which also includes Indian 2, Indian 3, and Kalki 2898 AD.
