The Tamil romantic comedy film With Love, starring Abishan Jeevinth and Anaswara Rajan in lead roles, has arrived in cinemas on February 6, just in time for the Valentine’s Day season. Directed by debutant Madhan and produced under the banner backed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film has begun attracting attention for its simple storytelling and relatable take on modern relationships.
With Love explores contemporary romance through a light-hearted narrative, focusing on emotional connections, misunderstandings, and the evolving dynamics between young couples. Early audience reactions suggest that the film’s strength lies in its grounded approach, avoiding melodrama and instead highlighting everyday moments that resonate with younger viewers.
Abishan Jeevinth delivers a restrained and natural performance, while Anaswara Rajan brings warmth and emotional depth to her role. Their on-screen chemistry has been appreciated by audiences, contributing significantly to the film’s positive word of mouth. The supporting cast also adds balance to the narrative, helping the story progress smoothly without unnecessary subplots.
The film marks an important milestone for director Madhan, who makes his feature debut with With Love. Critics have noted that his direction keeps the narrative focused and engaging, presenting romance in a way that feels current yet familiar. The music and background score complement the storytelling without overpowering the emotional tone of the film.
Adding to the buzz around the movie, With Love has already secured a major OTT deal. Following its theatrical run, the film will be available for streaming on Netflix. While the makers have not officially confirmed the digital premiere date, industry sources indicate that the OTT release is expected after a standard four to six week theatrical window.
Netflix’s acquisition of the film reflects growing interest in regional romantic dramas that appeal to a broad audience. With Love is expected to find a wider viewership on the platform, especially among fans of Tamil cinema and viewers looking for feel-good romantic content.
The timing of the theatrical release, coinciding with the season of love, has further helped the film connect with its target audience. Trade analysts believe that positive reception in theatres could strengthen its performance on OTT as well.
As audiences continue to watch the film in cinemas, anticipation around its digital release remains high. An official announcement regarding the OTT premiere date is expected soon from the makers or the streaming platform.
