The official trailer for the upcoming heist-drama Lucky Baskhar was unveiled at a grand ceremony on Monday, attended by Dulquer Salmaan, who stars in the titular role. Produced by Sithara Entertainments and directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar marks Dulquer’s third film in Telugu cinema, following Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022).
During the launch, Dulquer explained his decision to take on the project, mentioning his penchant for asking questions about scripts. He praised director Venky for his thorough research on the film's banking backdrop. Dulquer believes that Baskhar is relatable, stating, "I feel 80 percent of our country is like Baskhar, or they know someone like him."
Lucky Baskhar narrates the story of a middle-class banking professional who unexpectedly acquires wealth after planning a heist. Producer Naga Vamsi highlighted that the film focuses more on the emotional high of newfound wealth than on action sequences.
Co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, Lucky Baskhar is set to release in theaters on October 31, where it will compete with the Kiran Abbavaram-starrer KA.
