As production continues on the sequel, there has been speculation that Mahesh Babu could play the role of Krishna in the second part, due to the absence of Krishna's face in the first film, where Krishna was portrayed by Krishna Kumar Balasubramaniyan. Addressing this, director Nag Ashwin shared that although Mahesh Babu would be a great choice for the role of Krishna, he does not want to show Krishna's face on screen in the Kalki universe. Ashwin mentioned that while Mahesh Babu could bring a huge commercial impact, he prefers maintaining the mystery around Krishna's identity in the franchise.
This clarification has sparked even more curiosity about the upcoming Kalki 2898 AD films, with fans eagerly waiting to see how the story unfolds in the second installment.
