Actor Nani’s upcoming thriller HIT 3 has officially received an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), indicating that the movie is intended strictly for adult audiences. The decision comes after the Board raised concerns regarding the depiction of sensitive topics such as child abuse and scenes involving the burning of a police uniform.
According to reports, the CBFC reviewed the film and praised its gripping storyline and powerful performances. However, they also noted that certain sequences could be highly disturbing, particularly the ones showing child abuse and the symbolic act of burning a police uniform. Given the sensitive nature of these themes, the Board suggested that the filmmakers tone down these scenes to ensure they are handled more responsibly without compromising the narrative’s core intensity.
Sources reveal that the filmmakers have agreed to make the necessary adjustments. Minor edits are being made to soften the portrayal of violence, especially towards children, and to ensure the symbolic elements, like the uniform burning scene, are treated with greater subtlety. These changes aim to maintain the emotional impact of the film while being mindful of audience sensitivities.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3 is the third installment in the successful HIT franchise, which has been praised for its tightly woven plots and intense character-driven storytelling. The franchise has a strong following, and expectations from HIT 3 are sky-high, especially with Nani reprising a crucial role that promises even more depth and complexity.
Nani, who also produced the previous parts, has been vocal about the commitment to telling realistic stories without diluting the grit required for the genre. In a recent interview, he mentioned that HIT 3 would be "bolder and more gripping" than its predecessors, tackling darker aspects of crime investigations.
Despite the Censor Board's feedback, the team is optimistic that these small edits will not affect the film’s overall impact. Instead, they believe it will make the film more palatable while preserving its hard-hitting essence. The anticipation among fans remains high, and the 'A' certification has only added to the buzz, promising a gritty cinematic experience for mature audiences.
HIT 3 is slated for a grand theatrical release soon, and with the corrections underway, the makers are gearing up for promotions. Industry analysts predict that, much like the earlier installments, HIT 3 could set new benchmarks for crime thrillers in Telugu cinema.
