National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli recently took to X to share his thoughts on Lucky Baskhar, highlighting the satisfaction he derived from the project. He mentioned that it is uncommon for editors to advocate for their own work, making this expression of contentment even more noteworthy. Nooli praised director Venky Atluri and producer Naga Vamsi for their efforts, stating, “Lucky Baskhar was one of those projects that brought immense work satisfaction. Successfully executing such a concept with expertise—applause to director Venky Atluri and producer Naga Vamsi.”
He also lauded Dulquer Salmaan’s portrayal of the titular character, saying, “What a stellar performance by Dulquer.” Nooli, who won the National Award for Best Editing for the 2019 sports drama Jersey, is excited about his latest collaboration.
The recently released trailer for Lucky Baskhar offers a peek into the thrilling financial landscape of the 1980s. It tells the story of Bhaskar, played by Salmaan, who is willing to risk everything for his family. However, his foray into the financial world soon leads to significant moral and emotional challenges. The film promises to deliver a blend of dramatic intensity and witty self-awareness. Meenakshi Chaudhary stars as Sumathi, Bhaskar's devoted yet cautious wife.
Produced by Srikara Studios and backed by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Lucky Baskhar is set to hit theaters on October 31, releasing in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada. The film will compete at the box office with the Kiran Abbavaram-starrer KA, a period thriller.
